Steve works closely with individuals and families to understand what matters most to them and help bring clarity to complex financial decisions.  His approach combines thoughtful financial planning with a deep understanding of investment strategy and portfolio management, allowing him to help clients connect their wealth with their broader goals.  He values long-term relationships and believes the best advice comes from understanding not only a client’s financial picture, but also the priorities and objectives behind it. 

My Professional Background

I have spent nearly two decades working with advisors, individuals, and families as both an advisor and investment manager.  Prior to joining Evermay, I served as Chief Investment Officer and Chief Operating Officer at registered investment advisor firms in Northern Virginia, where I was responsible for investment strategy, portfolio construction, manager and security research, and investment committee leadership.  

I graduated from Radford University with B.B.A. degrees in Finance and Accounting, and am a CFP® professional.

My Personal Life

I live in Brambleton, Virginia with my wife Dana, our Border Collie, Ranger, and our two cats, Enzo and Koni.  Outside of work I enjoy cars and motorsports, golf, fishing, and traveling.
